I like a calldown here as well.

In addition to what DosXX said, I think calling here is good for your image. It makes you look like you are unbluffable and also looks like you are laggier than you are since most of these players will forget the CO posted.

I'm curious behind the rationale for this opinion, could you explain why you think a limit poster would be better?

Hey guys it's me Seven7s. I guess that would make DosXX's job a lot easier hah, less leaks to plug.

It has nothing to do with the content or strategic value of the video ( which is very good imo). I just feel that DC should have invited a member of the lhe community to compliment you in this video. I understand he is your student and you guys have a solid relationship which makes the video process probably flow alot more smoothly. I know DC encourages its members to make suggestions and this is my suggestion.

Also @ seven7s , i realize your the perfect prop because you may have leaks( which creates great plot for the video) but the guys in the micro lhe thread pay money here too and I feel someone from there should have been a candidate. By all means no offense just my op.

Yeah your point is valid Busting. FWIW I am a paying member here and DosXX is my coach. While I'm not a full time limit player, I definitely want to become a very good at the game.

Busting you - thank you for expounding on your comment. I'm going to leave it up to some of the higher ups and people who have been here longer to respond.

Since such an ugly card lands, I don't think it's a mistake to fold what's quite close the bottom of hero's "3! pre, checkback turn" range. Yeah villain can have J4 but he can also be bad enough to bluff K4 or any other King he has.

Quite often our coaches use their personal students in videos since they have rapport and it is a benefit to one on one coaching. We usually encourage this arrangement as it is often quite awkward to put a student into a video without knowing a coach and thus, we have sub-par content.

But yes, other than personal students, often subjects in our Mentor Series/review-like videos, are those who have won content suggestion contests or are outstanding leaders in the community. Sushiglutton, for example for his Omakase Series is a prime example.

Thank you for the suggestion. If you have more specific suggestions for content development make sure you post them here: Series Imagination Thread.

I think here's a great reason to have a big bet player onboard every once in a while. Every FL player raises the river and the coach won't comment anything but "and the expert play here is to river the nutzzz" or something, since it's standard (both the raise and the comment). Which is fine, but we never hear the discussion of raise-folding a river like this.

Yeah just on the topic of students in videos, I definitely agree with what Joe posted. I know I've done a mentor vid with groth911t, and he is a student and good friend of mine, but if I were doing a mentor style series, I'd be more inclined to work with a new student from the community, since its added value for everyone.

Tbh i cant understand what the problem was in this video. I think his student shows a great way of thinking about lhe, trying to find reasons why you would do a certain thing and what to do with slightly different circumstances. Good vid imo.

That is something most video makers could do a lot more, especially in live play videos. "I'm calling down" -> please every once in a while add "unless a 7 hits" or "but if this card had been a heart I'd be checkraising as a semibluff" or ", I would need at least a set to raise against this player / after this action" and such.

Great point that I think all coaches should listen to! I also think this type of thought process really shows a true understanding of the subject.
