So this forum needs more action and even though I don't play a lot of HUHU and probably suck at it I will sometimes sit and try to get a good game going the Joe Tall way. Hopefully this hand is not too boring/standard.

Villain just sat down and this is the first hand. I don't remember playing much with him much before but I have him on 41/16/1.35 with a WTSD of 40 over a significant sample (must be from some time ago).

What do you think of the turn bet, good/bad/mandatory? What's your turn action after betting and does that change if you held K9o instead?

You cant fold with the gut

I find that a lot of 40/15'ish fish gets rathher traded and aggro HUHU or 3 handed.

So I call and except from maybe a 6 I call any river.

Also I think c/c the turn and river vs this guy is fine.

so on party if you are playing HUHU on a full or 6max table the SB acts last postflop? cause if so that is a real disadvantage, and I'd rarely play HUHU.

I agree with oink. You have to call the turn with what is possibly 10 outs, and then I tend to SD any Ahigh or pair right away against a opponent when I am playing HUHU since I want to get a feeling for their aggression level and appear somewhat unbluffable (in the words of schneids).

The sturcture ofthe game cant really be a disadvantage. Its still a zero-sum game. (diregarding the rake)

true, and my comment seems kind of silly in retrospect.

I assume with that structure you have to play considerably less hands meaning that you have less opportunity to see flops and outplay bad players. I feel like it would take a much longer time for you to see your equity advantage, but you are right that they have to deal with the same structure that you do.

First, I'd find a different opponent. There are plenty of 80/5/0.5 players to be had.

I'd just check the turn vs such an opponent. W/Ace high and a gutter, I like to give aggro opponents the "rope" here.

JT: I did, I played 2 hands and then left. His stats only popped up when I had posted my blind in this hand.

Given that I bet this turn, I really don't like folding here. You've given him a chance to make a nice bluff vs. you when you bet.

I agree with Joe, I like to go ahead and check and call here, usually showing down.

5x raises here. Sometimes 6x. I call this one of America's Favorite Turn Cards.

Also I just notices that diamonds are popping this turn.

As long as both players have the same disadvantage, it's not a disadvantage, right? It would just make for a less exciting game.

Anyways, I like showing down on good rivers, but I haven't been very successful showing down Ax, even HU. Frown

Also, someone with those stats can improve pretty significantly in a few months if they desire to.
