Hi guys

For once I played a hand I think could possibly generate some debate.

BTN is unknown but seems aggro. So prolly somewhere between TAG and LAG

BB is unknown as well but seems to be very bad.

Pre Flop: Hero is UTG with KClub KSpade
Hero raises, 2 folds, BTN 3-bets, 1 fold, BB calls, Hero caps!, BTN calls, BB calls

Flop: (6.25 BB) 7Club QHeart TSpade (3 players)
BB bets, Hero raises, BTN 3-bets, BB calls, Hero?

Whats the plan now?
cap right there?
call and raise blank
call down blanks?

I'd be worried about Button getting a free card on the turn, so I think cap and lead has merit. If I am button here I definitely 3 bet any broadway combo hoping to get checked to on the turn. It's tough to flop sets and its too soon to give him AA, so I'd cap and lead and call down a raise.

I knew you would be my knight in shining armour Grin

I did cap. Everyone at 2p2 told me to just call down the 3-bet hoping for AQ.

Ok So I cap and both calls.

Turn is Jx.

Now what?

I'm betting out and calling a raise, what else is there to do really? I still think you have the best hand and you just picked up outs to draw if you're behind, which I think you are if you're getting raised again.

Agree with mvoss though it sucks because I'd really like to bet/call turn and fold river unimproved if raised on turn, but that's a pretty sick thing to do in a pot of this size and from what you tell me about Party Poker games. I'd stick with the plan though.

You guys dont think he will bet with those hands we want value from?

Like AQ and KQ. If he does, checking saves us money everytime he has AK or QQ or AA

In a pot this size I'm not going passive and handing out free cards to a split (or less likely to lose). OTB having AK here seems like a longshot given that he 3-bet the flop.

I actually really like a c/c on the turn. What are we worried about giving free cards to? Any TP or pair-draw combo will bet when checked to, so we get value, but we don't get owned when villain has AK, AA or a set (although if villain raise AA on this turn he's more aggro than me).

Plus if we get raised on this turn our range for villain has to have us beat, and I like to call on the river with hope if I don't improve Wink

If we remove all pure draws from villains' ranges (which I think is entirely reasonable given action) we are still an eq favorite on the flop.

The jack is our card. No worse hands improved. Even when we add Ak,KJ to OTB and KJ to BB we are in good shape.

Fire away, imo.
