So Im going to play my first live LHE MTT. Buyin is 1K - big for a LHE tourney I guess. My main game is 10/20 LHE online. How should I adapt my play for this thing? Early stages? If I get past early stages, what then? Also, out of interest, what standard of play should I expect in this thing?

Not a LHE MTT expert at all, but the one thing I've noticed in the mid-game strategy is that your stack size really has to factor into your play. As the blinds get up there, the decision to call down to a turn raise that you would make effortlessly in a cash game could cripple you.
Unlike a NL tourney you don't have as much of a shove and steal opportunity if you get low but not super-short. So you always need to aware of your stack size and keep it growing. On the flip side, your blind defense skills will be a big asset.
Pretty obvious stuff, but if you only play cash games then you probably haven't ever really thought about the size of your stack.

Yeah my WCOOP vids should be back up tomorrow. Try not to over adjust early on and just play your normal game. My experience is there will be more weak tight players at a tournament table. Later in the tournament that's clearly correct especially when short stacked but early on you can probably pound on them pretty easily. Good luck!
