Live 8/16

Tough game as there is only 1 15 game running they won't start a new one for some reason so there are a few 15 players playing in this game. The main villain in all the hands is a 15 reg but plays in the 8 game quite a bit as well as I have quite a bit of history with him. He is very aggressive with, well pretty much anything. Very rarely getting to showdown cheaply when he is in the hand. Anyways,

I get dealt 7Heart7Spade and raise in mp. i get called by another mp and the lag/tag otb, BB also calls.

FLIPS 6Spade8SpadeqHeart

I bet, MP raises, Button calls, I call

TURN: 9Spade

I check, mp bets, Button raises.

I fold?

what I'm wondering if I am supposed to be calling here with what seems like 2 outs. It also looked like the MP was planning on raising the button. (he did)

Same game another hand,

I am in the hj and there is one ep limp from a passive asian guy (yes, this is not a typo) in front of me
I raise KHeartQDiamond, Button calls, Our lag/tag friend is in the bb and 3!s. everyone calls.

BB bets flop dark.

flips:
8 Diamond 9Diamond QHeart

Ep calls, I rasise, button folds. BB calls EP calls.

Turn:
10Diamond
Checks around?
Am i supposed to bet this? I don't know of many hands I'm getting Value from anymore and I really don't want to get check raised and half to call turn and fold blank river.

River JSpade

BB donks out, Ep calls, I call?

Last one,

I am in the bb on this one.

folded around to our friend who raises in the hj. Button calls SB calls and I call with qSpade10Spade

flips ASpadeJSpade10Heart

checks to lag/tag who bets, everyone calls.

Turn: 10Club

Checks to lag/tag who bets. Button calls, SB calls, I raise? everyone folds

What i'm wondering on this hand is do I just call here and raise the river?

hand 1 the fold seems fine, i might even bet/fold the flop

hand 2 i would just bet the turn, you are getting value from smaller pairs and smaller diamonds. the pot is big and people don't fold. if you get checkraised then you call and see a river card. as played i guess i would just call the river

hand 3 you flopped a huge monster, you need to ram and jam the flop. seems like you have a great opportunity to checkraise the field so i would start there. as played, yes turn checkraise is fine. waiting til the river is very rarely correct. don't slowplay.

Agree with BBB, other than I think checking back the turn in hand 2 is probably fine assuming BB's 3! range is reasonably tight.

I would check turn in Hand 2 as well. Hand 1 seems ok given we have 2 backdoors I call the flop. C/r flop hand 3.

Others have commented on the hands already but if this 8/16 is a tight lineup then i would not be playing at all. The rake at 8/16 is terrible pretty much anywhere you can find that game. Most 8/16 games are 5-6-7 people to the flop in which defeating the rake becomes much easier. If this game involves alot of headsup and 3way pots i'm for sure quitting until game conditions change. I'd also consider playing 15/30 since the rake is lower relative to stakes and the competition is pretty much the same

77 seems like a pretty good hand to check the Flop with in Hand 1. If I did bet, I'd definitely peel the Flop and fold the Turn.

In Hand 2, I'd bet the Turn, but it's got to be very close.

Hand 3: I'm shoveling money in on the Flop. Feel free to check the Turn UI.

This actually just made me laugh right now. This is the canterbury park 8/16 game. Its filled with asians and people who have no idea what there doing, but think they need to ram and jam 86o like the asian guys and loose tons of money. I watched a guy who would just randomly bluff, repping nothing, no pair no draw and would try and value bet his bottom pair in a 3 bet pot loose 7 racks in an hour and a half yesterday. Its pretty much a good game all the time. When you run bad you get punished pretty bad though.
