Lol, first of all MP is bad and hopefully you made some notes from this hand.

As for your play, preflop is good and standard. On the flop you have the option of raising now or waiting for the turn. The main drawback for waiting until the turn is that SB might not fire again if he gets called twice. (Here's where a read helps.) Also, the value of keeping MP in with a weak hand isn't that great becaues the pot is so big. If he picks up any kind of hand, he won't be making a huge mistake calling 2 cold on the turn. At the same time, he's never folding a king ever. So I'd just go ahead and raise the flop.

After you just call the flop, your turn raise is the best line. The river value bet is standard, especially because you have the A which makes flushes less likely. Once facing the river raise, you basically throw up because your hand is almost never good but the pot is huge. Because of the way the hand went down, MP should have a flush (or a badly played set lol) here a lot. But calling here isn't that bad, because (1) this situation comes up infrequently and (2) the call is only bad if MP is never bluffing and every once in a while you'll see a spazz bluff made here.

So overall I don't think you played this hand that bad.

Sweetjazz,
Would it be a weak tight mistake if hero checked the river when the diamond hit. The MP player called two cold on the turn, unless he is a total moron, I would expect him to have a flush draw a very high percentage of the time.

I bet this river alot, sometimes i fold (read dependent obv), some people just always have a flush here, but as mentioned, hes paying you off with all his worse kings, so i like the bet.

I would prefer to check the river against FPS opponents that like to checkraise river a lot. Otherwise, if you have position and they check, I think it's ok to bet/call. I might bet/fold against some tight passive guys though.
