I've been coaching at Deuces Cracked for 2 years now. I've had a number of successful students in the past and looks forward to coaching many more. Two years ago, my main teaching tool was live sweat sessions. Over the years I've refined my coaching program to help all students. Here are my main tools as a coach:
1) Video Review
2) Sweat Sessions
3) HH Review
4) Theory Discussion
5) Worksheet Discussion
Some lessons can encompass 2 or more of these things, it really depends on what you want. My first lesson is generally always video review as it quickly allows me to identify your major leaks moving forward. From there it's really up to you and what you want to go over. Just a heads up I typically shy away from sweat sessions. There's certainly a time and place for them however a lot of times from my past experience you can end up against an easy opponent, most spots are pretty routine, and it doesn't make for the best learning environment. However, it really is up to you and if you want those that's fine.
In addition you'll receive my HU worksheet. This is a blank worksheet with a general outline that you can fill out at your pace. I only give out one chapter at a time, but its been well received. Also, I'm always on AIM or skype to discuss hands, theory, bad beats, venting, etc in between sessions. If you do decide to get coaching I strongly recommend you take advantage of this. In the past the students that did this the most were also my most successful students.
As a player I'm currently at 100nl. Starting at 50nl this year to refine his game and practice better bankroll management to eliminate tilt. I'm hoping to be at 5/10 by the end of the year but a more realistic goal is probably 2/4 and 3/6. My rates are $75/hour at 50nl, $100/hour at 100nl and $150/hour at 200nl.
