BIO

I started playing poker in a local home game when I was around 16 years old. By the time I was 18 we were playing every day and the stakes had risen from .25/.50 to 1/2. Around this same time I made my first deposits on to Bodog and embarked on a mission to smoke anyone and everyone registering for heads up SNG's. Through a misunderstanding of conventional bankroll management, I busted a handful of $50 deposits until finally getting my act in order and establishing a bankroll management plan for myself. Doing web searches for poker forums I came across LiquidPoker and later branched out into the major poker forums as well. I began by playing $10 heads up sit and go's with a $300 deposit and never looked back. I played all the way through the $100's and at this time decided that the insane multi-tabling combined with the more or less black and white mathematical approach to SNG play...

Full Biography

I played all the way through the $100's and at this time decided that the insane multi-tabling combined with the more or less black and white mathematical approach to SNG play was not for me. I switched to 100nl six max with a $3,500 or so roll and delved further into the games. I progressed all the way up through the stakes and now make a living playing middle and high stakes six max and full ring poker, with a personal preference for mass multi-tabling. I am a recent graduate of the University of New Hampshire and am eager to pursue a career in poker for the foreseeable future.

"Nolan began coaching me about four months ago when I was a struggling 50NL regular. He is very friendly and professional and enjoys helping people learn poker. He taught me table selection skills and coached me in the sound fundamentals necessary to beat first 50NL, then 100NL, and now 200NL. Sean has allowed me to sweat him and has talked through his thought processes on difficult hands. He applies sound logic in his explanations of poker theory and has also helped ensure that I have stayed clear of the group think mentality found on poker forums. Nolan has always gone out of his way to make time to help or to encourage me when I have had questions or been unsure about what the optimal line is in a particular hand. By working with Sean I have undoubtedly accelerated my learning process and have achieved much loftier goals than I ever imagined myself capable of in such a short time frame." -- Mike K.
