MagicNinja aka AlexeiMartov started playing poker after he noticed that old school starcraft players like IN. Tillerman were making serious bank playing what was essentially a computer game. As an extremely obsessive and studious player he quickly rose to playing in these same games, before dropping out of university to travel around the world for 2 years while intermittently studying game theory in empty bars across South East Asia.

As a poker player he has consistently won at over 5 pt bb/100 at 25/50 and lower plo in both 6 max and heads up and had moderate success at the 50/100-100/200 limits across several sites.

As a coach of over 20 students, he has specialised in helping 2/4-5/10 players as well as those transitioning from NL do the same, preferring a style of asking leading questions as the student plays and analyses their regular game (as opposed to dictating an easily forgotten rigid strategy).

He now spends the majority of his time playing guitar, piano, and poker and hopes to one day parlay his profits into a career that has him screaming esoteric lyrics and playing face melting guitar solos to froth-mouthed blue-haired rock-princesses in places like Osaka and Berlin.
