My name is Tom Luce, I'm 23 and I live on the island of Jersey (UK). I started out playing LHE at the age of 16 with my friends for fun, however after one particularly bad losing session my close friend Marcos let slip that he had read a basic poker book and offered to teach me what he had learnt. After I won a few dollars on a friends online account I formed my own small bankroll and began to move up through the micro stakes before trying my hand at NLHE SnGs. I became serious about poker whilst studying for a Masters degree in Chemical Engineering at the University of Cambridge and managed to pay my way through my degree with the money that I made.

I currently play poker professionally and specialise in NLHE 6-Max SnGs at stakes ranging from $25-$325, both turbos and standard speeds. I have previously coached a friend from scratch whilst at university and have also worked as a sub-contractor for a coaching website run by two of my closest friends.

I believe that my previous coaching experience combined with my knowledge of theory and various pieces of poker software enable me to clearly express the logic behind my decision making. This allows me to effectively communicate how to weigh up various factors, how to adapt to opponent types and how to understand the concept of ICM.

Coaching can take the form of either hand review sessions or structured theory lessons on subjects such as heads up play, ICM and the bubble, push/fold play and maximising your hourly rate. If you decide to purchase a theory lesson you will receive a .pdf guide relating to that particular topic. Additionally, hand review sessions work best if you use a HUD as this allows me to better explain how to adapt to opponent types. All coaching is done using Skype and a remote viewing program.

I charge coaching at a flat rate of $150/hr although I offer discounts for multi-session packages (shown below). If you are a first time client, the first hand review session will include a 20% discount. If you enjoy your introductory session, you can upgrade to one of the discounted multi-session packages.
