BIO

If I believed in God, I would feel as though I've been blessed. I found poker a few years ago while in college and since then everything has changed. I've spent inconceivable amounts of hours thinking about a silly card game and I still maintain the same exuberance and enthusiasm toward the game as when I first started. It has been my job for close to 3 years and I like to think that my hard work has paid off.

I've also been fortunate to run headfirst into luck. I won my first ever "big" live tournament in 2006 for nearly $200,000. Since then it has been a rollercoaster. Some of my scores include 3rd place in the FTP $750k for $63,000, 5th in the Sunday Million for $45,000, a win in the FTP $750k for $142,000, a win in the Pokerstars Sunday Warmup for $108,000, 2nd place in the FTP Million the very next day for $126,000, 3rd place in the FTOPS 300r event for $120,00... As my student, you will receive a positive and enthuasiastic approach to tournament poker. Creating and supporting a friendship with my students is important to me. First, it makes learning easier. Also, I believe it is very important in tournament poker to try to keep a positive attitude. With the size of online tournaments these days, the variance could make anyone feel sick to their stomach. Positive reinforcement helps maintain focus late in tournaments and makes sure you consistently play your A game throughout a session. You can't simply quit playing a tournament like a cash game. Your ROI will be seriously lessened if you are unable to maintain focus and a positive mindset in tournaments. In addition, I've been coached by Durrrr and have traded coaching with Ben Tollerene (ben86/bttech86), a very big MSNL winner. I feel that I'm well qualified to coach students through the early levels of tournaments and especially the later levels, placing emphasis on prize distribution, shoving and calling ranges, raise/folding, and adjustments from cash play to tournament play. Lastly, I can also offer advice on adjustments between live tournaments and online tournaments.
