BillyJex

Bill has been a professional poker player since graduating from college in 2006, but has been steadily beating the mid-limit no-limit games for the past few years. Bill likes to claim his style as "tricky tight," as he sticks with relatively tight preflop numbers and tight and solid postflop play. However, he makes sure to throw enough "tricks" and unbalanced play to throw his opponents off his game, or to further exploit the leaks in their game.

When Bill isn't grinding away at the tables or giving coaching lessons, he enjoys the luxuries that poker has afforded him; a life by the beach in Los Angeles. Bill also got 7th place in the $1500 6-max event at the 2007 WSOP, besting out over 1400 players for $46,000.

My coaching is aimed towards $.50/$1 NL and $1/$2 NL players looking to move up in limits or $2/$4 NL players looking to refine their game. I have also coached players converting from MTT and SNG's with good success, as I was once an exclusive MTT player myself.

My coaching program involves the student making a video of himself 4-tabling for an hour with his own audio commentary, sending the file to me, and me going over the video with a fine tooth comb and writing a long, detailed word document telling the student at each part of the video what he is doing right or wrong, and why.

I delve into theory and concepts in the word document related to how the student has been playing. At the end of the video, I write up a synopsis on what to work on, what the student has been doing well, and a game plan for the future.

It will take me about two hours to create a document from the video, so the charge per video is $350. I think a method like this is best because it allows the student to play his own game for an hour, and allows me to go into further detail since I will not be distracted by upcoming hands.
