My HSNL **** Thread rap post
I’ve been loving the PLO8 rush on FT so far, up about 20 buyins over 5k hands or so. Sounds like I’ve been running good, but not really spectacular or anything. God mode in multiway PF allins, like crap in HU PF allins and everything else has just been good value. Once I get onto my laptop I have some really interesting(imo) hands to post. But until then, my HSNL **** thread rap post.
I don’t post in the HSNL **** thread for obvious reasons, but enjoy reading it. Every once in a while the rap links pop up and ffs there is some serious garbage linked. I have to admit, as far as I’m concerned, rap started to fall off fast in the late 90’s. I blame stations like Hot97 for promoting anthems and people like Swizzzbeats(especially Swizzz) and Timbaland for producing such anthems. Some argue that Timabaland is great, but at the time, he and many others were producing the most generic crap imaginable. I’m also a beat junkie, so for me, beat first, rhymer 2nd.
So I was going to post these links there, then realized it wasn’t such a great idea, so here they are. Some are classics and some are probably new for some of you. This was getting real long, so there’s obv a ton missing. Maybe in another post. Enjoy.

I'm with you man, the 90's were the time for rap. I was sweating when Guru went down a few weeks ago, too, but I think he's cool now.
Here are my pandora rap stations, you'd probably like them:

I added these songs to a playlist, I thought I'd share so others don't have to click every link.

Thanks for the links DJ, I'll definitely check those out. Was bummed about Guru as well! I look at rap as having 3 eras- 79-88, 88-98 and 98-present. 88-98 was by far the best, 79-88 2nd.
And thanks jjd for doing that.
Rap part 2 may have to wait as I think I may do my breaks list next. May be a pain though as I think I'll have to upload a ton myself. Vinyl FTW!
