J6s is not strong enough to isolate with even if you do have the BT. Micros is about valuebetting well and folding to aggression. You can't valuebet well with a hand like J6s.

I don't know... I think with a specific read that opponent isn't 3-betting strong hands a call here is fine. Who knows... If you're lucky you might even get all in on the flop as a 76% favorite. Or maybe that would never happen... Hand 2 is a clear fold on the flop. Villain always has a straight and knows the other 9 clubs were in your opponents' hands. Sorry about your run-bad. I know it hurts. 25NL seems to play pretty funny, and has been very swingy for me so far. When you're back hopefully your initial swings will be in the other direction.

even if somebody is 3-betting light a hand like A9s is way better to 4-bet bluff instead of calling a 3-bet OOP and almost always get into a sticky spot unless you hit trips or two pair what you rarely do

I should have put more context to the hands. In hand 3, villain has been 3B a very defined range; Small PP and weak suited hands like 83s but seemed to always be flatting good hands IP. So I went with my read and think I played it well considering the dynamics with this perticular villain. I would have definitely folded if I had A9o.

In hand #3, I'd just fold to his 3B preflop. This doesn't seem like a hand you want to be playing OOP without the initiative. Losing large percentages of your bankroll always sucks, but when you grind it back you will be stronger mentally because of it and the next time it happens it hurts less.

No I'm not a pro but I do take this very seriously and I try to be as professional as possible. At the end of the day, either be it at micros or high stakes, it's still money in or out of your pocket. And you want to have good habits already in your arsenal should the opportunity to play professionally becomes possible.

so true man i went through kinda the same thing. Was playing Wc3 almost professionally at 2003 and started poker for a short while in school. Things went great and i took out a check for 3600 dollar in one month. At that time, my whole class was so bummed that i got that kinda money, and i didnt realise it was a lifetime oppertunity and just went back to gaming. Now i have to start all over and ive been kicking my ass for not continuing poker since that time,instead of just throwing my time away on computer games :/ Life on the MS are much much harder now and climbing really seperates the decent from the super dedicated

Hand #1 the river is a cooler but I think I would raise the turn and look to try to get more money in to get paid. Hand 2 I would raised preflop to .50/.60. You have a strong hand and position.. As played, once you get 3bet, I would fold. Unless you had a read on player but the flop is dry, he is either 3betting a set or better A. Hand 3 I dont like your calling the min 3bet from UTG +1. 4bet to 1.80 or 2.10, your hand is strong and he has a short stack and there is dead money in the pot. It's difficult to play multiway and OOP. Hands 1 & 3 seem like your prone to Fancy Play Syndrome.

Hand 1 I would recommend raising the flop -- this is a very dry board, true, but any overpair is likely not folding perhaps at any point in the hand, as well as top pair occasionally. This is also a limped pot, meaning that if we wish to get stacks in we have to begin quickly. Hand 2 I don't mind the flop raise versus loose-passives, but I think that without some sort of read we have to fold to a 3bet. Also, 3betting the minraise of a limper in position seems alright, to me. Hand 3 is a cooler, but I think I would probably 4bet/call a lot of players, especially with the cold caller preflop (assuming he's a fish or unknown) and our position. This seems to be the only full table, though, and it's possible that I'm making a mistake in applying 6max logic (though I kind of doubt it in this one spot). Anyway, sorry things didn't go so well, and I'm sorry if the criticism's unwelcome in what was probably a rant post :). Good luck in the future.
