Folding Pocket Aces

Really haven’t had the chance to play this month and it shows. I’m down 3BI in about 2000 hands. Haven’t been paying as much attention to the tables as I should have been.

Here’s an example:

Should have probably just folded this hand, especially unsuited and UTG.

SB checks, BB checks, Hero checks, BTN bets $0.20, SB folds, BB folds, Hero calls $0.20
Villain is super loose aggressive and I beat most of his range.

Turn: ($0.60) J (2 players)
Hero checks, BTN bets $2.20, Hero calls $2.20
Villain bet very fast, I’m thinking he has a pair giving him a FH. I let the clock run down before calling making him think I have a hard decision.

River: ($5.00) 7 (2 players)
Hero bets $5.63 all in, BTN folds
I should have probably C/R, villain has shown that he has a hand and he’s been very aggressive up to this point. If I bet I’ll probably scare off any mid pair or even 4×. But I went and bet anyways and I probably lost tones of value.

Hero mucks J K
Hero wins $4.75

Oh well, lesson learned.
