Folding Pocket Aces

Well may wasn’t all that great of a month for me. I finished the month over but not by much. I did well at 5NL but the shots I took at 10NL kind of cut my profits pretty badly. I think I’ve developped some bad habits that work at 5NL but get shot down pretty fast at 10NL. You can play 5NL very loose passive preflop and get away with it. Villains will call you down with worse a lot of the time. Lots of players chase draws and are willing to call pot sized bets the entire way.

I’ve also been putting off studying the game, watching videos and playing instead. This month I plan on working on my game a lot to be able to definitely move to 10NL and stay there. I would like to be playing 25NL by the end of summer. I had as a goal in January to be playing 100NL by end of year. I still hope to do so but I think that’ll be pushing it. I think 50NL would be a more realistic goal but that won’t stop me from aiming for 100NL.

Here are my June Goals:

• 10k hands
• Move up and stay at 10NL
• Study NL Math
• Session reviews, Session reviews, Session reviews
• Learn to better define player types and how to beat them
• Update my blog more often

I think those are all pretty fesable goals, especially the last one. ;)
