First Blog Post

Ok so I thought I’d start a poker blog so people can keep some sort of record of my experiences with the game and my progression. I’m a member at Stox, Cardrunners and also Deuces Cracked so I’ll probably be posting this at all 3 sites so I can get as much feedback as possible.

I’ve been taking poker seriously for a couple of months now and I’ve been cramming as many videos as possible and just trying to take in as much information as I can.

I’m 27, British, and a game/vfx artist and recently married and moved to Queens, New York from London, England. I won’t be able to work over here for a few months so I thought it would be a great opportunity to get sick at poker and build my roll as much as possible until I’m working again and can only play part time.

At the moment I’m playing 25NL and $6.50 SNGs on poker stars. I’m a marginal winning player at 25NL but still need to plug a few leaks before I can move up. I think I’m a marginal losing player at the SNGs which is mostly my own fault as I don’t spend enough time reviewing my games and I mass table them.

I’m currently watching the ‘Real Life Micro Stakes SNG Grinder’ series on Deuces Cracked which I’ve enjoyed so far as well as some more of Collin’s videos on Stox and ‘The SNG System’ on Card Runners. I’m receiving 25NL coaching and having about 2-3 sessions per week at that.

My long term goal with poker is to supplement my income from my job for frivelous spending. I’m not sticking to any particular region and I’m looking to be beating all types of games like Omaha, Razz etc.

Anyway this is just a brief blog intro so anyone reading can learn a little about me.

Cheers
