Hey guys I decided to change from Pandora to groove shark from the advice of AMT. So far I’ve grabbed a bunch of the bands that people recommended. I really liked Ratatat, Empire in the Sky, RJD2, El Ten Eleven, Emancipator, and a few others. If you are interested in listening check it out!

I read Grinding Music A while ago and realized that I am sort of tired of just opening iTunes and hitting shuffle. I seem to get a bunch of All that Remains, Lamb of God mixed with Yo Yo Ma and its harshing my poker vibe. So I’ve set out to create the premier grinder music channel on Pandora.
So far my mix is as follows:
Funk (yeah the genre its solid wanna fight about it?)
Cat Empire (Chill with elements of a little ska and an indie vibe)
Bucket Head (Bizarre and glorious)
Chemical Brothers, Crystal Method (Because techno is easy to drone out and those are the only two groups I really know of!)
Ben Folds (Because he is an amazing song writer and performer.)
Joni Mitchel (She has a country vibe that I normally don’t really like dig, but she is so chill.)
I’ve been “experimenting†with tossing some smooth Jazz into the mix. I just don’t want to create a Chinese Restaurant feel when I’m playing.
So far the music is going pretty well. Although, this is a work in progress and I’ll keep you all updated on here as to how it is going!

I haven’t spent any time on Card Runners. However, a little over a month or so someone posted a link to an incredibly inspiring article on one of their coaches blogs. I’ve read it a half dozen times and I reread it again today and it still makes me excited about what I could accomplish with poker given enough time, effort, and commitment.
Print it! Read it! Become it?!
Just for the record I will eventually add my own content ;) but I just wanted to share this with anyone who stumbles upon my blog. Its a great kick in the ass!
The answer to this question isn’t quite as cut and dried as I want it to be. I started back at College two weeks ago from a 6 month break. Although, I missed school and having a routine to base the rest of my day around, I was more than happy to fill my time with poker. Reading about it, watching videos on it and playing it. That is a ton of what I did over the past 6 months.
Well now I find myself devoid of time. Forced to make the unfortunate choice of education over my beloved past time. But poker is always on my mind. Last week I had a seminar in my Anthropology class and I used a reference to poker and everyone was like WTF?!?
I just wanted to keep my blogs life line alive. I didn’t want to be the 9/10 people who create a blog and then never write anything on there.

Hey, to any one reading this. My story is almost the same as anyone else here.
started playing poker (insert time) ago. I wasn’t too serious about it up until recently. Now I’ve decided to take the game more serious.
I am truly excited about the challenges of poker. Knowing that there is always something to learn and to incorporate into my game is SOO exciting! I really enjoy the atmosphere on DC it has allowed me to meet a ton of awesome micro ballers who have all helped me progress so rapidly and really develop quickly as a player.
The primary reason I am creating this blog is for personal benefit. This is mainly due to the fact that I can’t really imagine many people reading this blog. My lady would probably just tease me anyways :). But I think that this is an awesome way to chronicle my development as a poker player.
I’ll try to update this blog at least once a week and possibly more depending on any interesting things in my life.
