zero FTOPS cashes > school

It’s a beautiful winter day in San Francisco, and I have three finals left this week. I want to do anything but study, which is basically what I’ve been doing until an hour ago. By this time Thursday I’m gonna have a lot of elbow room to play, study and do other kinds of poker-ish things at my discretion. I also plan to move around the city and see some friends I haven’t been able to catch up with in a while.

This morning I used my satellite ticket to play mini FTOPS #13, the 4x 6max satellite. The first round had everyone seated at tables of three, and all subsequent rounds were tables of six. To cash, you had to win your first round and get to the final three positions at your second round. As luck would have it, I bubbled out in the 4th spot at my second table. Meh. Didn’t play badly at all. That brings the count to 0/6 in mini FTOPS cashes this year, but I still think I’m playing solid poker and partially freerolling off of all the satellites I won to get here, so who’s to worry? I’ll still take this over studying for finals. Yesterday’s SNG was too cool to forget!

Tonight’s event #15, the $20+2 turbo. I also won a satellite for that. We’ll see how it goes and if it can keep me from studying any further, although my next (and hardest) test is tomorrow at 8:00.

Is anyone in San Francisco? Get in touch if so.
