Doin' the job

I am officially hooked on PLO. Vanessa isn't lying when she says it's twice the cards and six times the fun. 

I had played a little PLO (maybe 1k hands) before 2 days ago, when I went on a bit of a downswing at 50NL and 100NL. So to mix it up a bit I decided to play some 25PLO for funsies. I spewed off about 4 or 5 BIs before I watched a couple of videos, and realised that I was playing waaaaaaaaay too loose. I don't have Omaha Manager (yet) but I'd estimate I was playing something like 50/30 preflop, which obviously is retarded.

One of the things I struggled with was the starting hand selection. I'd look down at AcKd7s8s and think "WOW! What a monster! AK AND 78s! I'd easily raise both of these in NLHE, so it must be twice as good to raise now that I can have both of them!"

I've since tightened up significantly preflop and it seems to be paying dividends. I think I've played approx 4k hands since I stopped being a spewtard and I'm up 6 BIs. 

I'll still play a good amount of NLHE, but for the next week or so I think I'm going to be a PLO convert. At least until I hit one of those crushing PLO swongs that people seem to bang on about.
