Standard...
Just two days after my official best day ever, I had my official worst day ever.
Between last night and this morning I lost around $1k, which represented about a third of my roll. I lost 6 stacks playing 100NL FR, then moved down to 50NL and lost a couple more there. Then today I played some 50NL Rush and spewed off a few there as well.
Obviously these weren't all coolers. You can see some of the plays I made were pure spew because I was tilted. As much as I like to think I've got to grips with the swings of the game I love, I haven't yet.
I can take a bad beat as well as anyone I know, it's more the coolers and the frustration of losing that gets to me. And the thing that frustrates me the most is my own bad play, so you can imagine how this becomes a bit of a vicious cycle. Make a bad call, get tilted, make a spewy shove, get tilted some more, and so on.
I think from now on I'm going to give myself a 2BI stoploss. Any time I'm down more than 2 buyins, I'm going to insta-sit out at all my tables, close the poker client, and go into HEM and review where I lost money that session.
Also, good news for today: my BR was at a month low of approx $1900 today, but I played a LONG session this evening and grinded back up to $2300. And I've watched all 4 episodes of Tolerance. Go me. Â

Fuck. Me. I've lost about the same @50NL FR recently, although it took me about a fortnight - I don't put in the sick volume you seem to manage though! Do not fancy absorbing those sorts of losses in one day any time soon tbh.
Also, how is your coaching going?

Yeah, it was pretty horrid to lose it all in the space of 24 hours, but what can you do? I am trying to put in a lot of volume at the moment, I'm experimenting with 16 tabling, and it seems to be going OK.
Unfortunately I had to cancel the coaching, ironically because I can't really afford it at the moment. As much as losing $1k in a day is a bitch, it's worse when your entire bank account only has $300 in it. I have more money online than I do IRL. FML.
