Retooling my game
OK, so I moved up to 25NL last month after beating 10NL for 6ptbb/100 over 25k hands or so. 25NL absolutely crushed me. I spewed money left, right and centre, and I just wasn’t good enough. I moved back down to 10NL and proceeded to play 30k hands of breakeven poker. Even more depressing, here’s my all-in EV graph for 10NL:

So, despite being on what would appear to be a huge heater, my winrate is mediocre and I can’t post a profit. This suggests to me something that I don’t want to admit, but is evidently true: I suck at poker. I need to get better.
I think my preflop game is pretty solid, I’m very positionally aware, I steal the blinds liberally, I pick good spots for 3betting and squeezing, but I think I spew money postflop. I have a hard time folding a made hand, and I don’t get enough value when I’m ahead. I try to bluff too much (lol 10NL bluffing) and often believe that it’s impossible for donks to actually have a hand.
But, I’ve realised where my problems are, and I’m going to solve them. I will be a winning player by 2010 if it kills me
Now, where did I put that ‘fold’ button?
