Foxwoods 560$ Deepstack chop :)
Well, finally after a month of not updating because of a lack of progress results wise, some good news is here! I ended up chopping the 560$ deepstack for 25k after a 3 way chop with another player getting 25k and the cl getting 41k. The blinds got pretty absurd going to 50/100k with the stacks 1.1mil for me 1.3 for the other opponent and 5 mill for the CL. Each player had a strong idea of how to play shorthanded so chopping seemed reasonable with 11bb. I turned down a chop 6 handed with them offering me a pretty good deal of 27k with the cl but at that point I really wanted to play out the tournament and see if I could close the deal in a live tournament after finishing 3rd in the lapc and 4th at a wsop event last summer. The hands just didn’t fall into place for me when we got 4 handed. I lost a big hand with A9 where I raised from the sb and bb defended. The flop was Ac 10d 4h, check, check. Turn Ad I led 200k he flatted river came 5d I bet 525k pretty quick and was snapped by 3d7d for a rivered flush. I battled back and won a race with AK>1010 then lost 2 pots 3 handed where losing pots at showdown hurt. Overall I was extremelly happy to end up with what I got because I played nearly flawless poker the entire way.

We started with 20k in chips and 25/50, 50minute levels. At 1/200 no ante I folded KK pre for the first time in a tournament and was shown AA in hu action vs an ep raiser when I 3b the button. I busted the Main event on day 1 the exact same way, in the exact same situation, stack size etc. It felt so sick at the time, I pretty much folded after about 30 seconds of debating and showed to everyones suprise. I had history with the player and had doubled up the hand prior with QQ to starting stack so it was pretty sick to basically 3b fold kk due to his sizing. I never had chips the entire first day really and ended up getting it in behind on one of the last hands of the day. I had 15 bb effective with 10d8d where it folded to the small blind. I limped and the bb checkd. 10 5 4 two spades, i checked he fired 3k, i c/r to 11k and he shippd it in. I didnt have much history with him at this point after getting moved to the table a few orbits before. I rivered an 8 and ended day 1 with 103k in chips. Day 2 started very well as I chipped up quick and reached a peak of 720k before losing a huge hand for the CL where i opened AQo in the co and got 3b on the button before shipping it in only to get snapped by AK and he held. When we got down to 2 tables I was one of the shorter stacks and shipped it in probably 6 or 7 times without getting called to chip back up to 20 bb before losing a big race with AKh vs JJ. I then was down to 6 or 7bb where I doubled q10 o vs 88 then 44 vs AK before heading to the ft 8th in chips. I did most of the work early at the ft eliminating 3 of the first 4 players before taking the CL and being offered the chop 6 handed and declining then playing down to 3 handed.
It was a huge boost for me to get unbacked and have before vegas this summer. I still need to figure out my schedule this week but adding some financial stability after paying so much in taxes last year felt great. This is my 3rd biggest mtt score ever and all of them have been live even though I have limited experience compared to online. I really just feel the variance has been far worse for me there and def haven’t done anything besides continue a tough run lately there on pstars. Things will turn online. Tomorrow I’m going to run some errands and play a session online later. Hope all is well everyone!
