Hey guys,

Today I slept in because I felt like I was starting to go on fumes trying to avoid coffee and energy drinks to see how I reacted to it the last two nights. As far as the trip goes so far, I’ve played two events so far. A $600NL and $1k NL yesterday. The 600 drew around 240 I think, don’t even remember the actual number to be honest but I made a deep run to finish in 13th for like 1588 so enough for my 1k buyin i guess. I played well and picked my spots the best I could, but turned into a disaster once we got down to two tables where I lost two key hands that left me with 10bb at 2/4k blinds and ended up with K10h in the middle vs AQo and aces. I didn’t see kings or aces the entire tournament so I was chipping up by working hard to win as many pots as I could without showdown but the older gentelmen there continued to have 1010-AA every hand it seemed. What can ya do.

Yesterday the 1k got off to an ok start. My table draw was mostly regulars it seemed but I felt pretty good about my table overall. I lost two key hands, one opening A8c on the button to a min raise at 1/200 25ante and a foxwoods regular shippd for 2400 total I relutantly called to see qq. Then called off the majority of my chips with AQo vs the weakest player at the table where I thought it was as good a spot as any for myself to accumulate chips and blinds going to 2/400 soon. He had AKo and then shipped a5o with 5bb to bust vs kk. I’ve played cash the rest of my time here at 2/5 which honestly i don’t need to talk to much about. Its pretty much a joke festival of nit regulars that think they are all the greatest. Face up poker at its finest… If I run well i’ll make 3k plus, im only up a few 100$ there over the little ive played during my two nights here so far but things can change quickly with the right table and right situations.

The 3.5k is tomorrow and my goal is to make most of that buyin today, if not i’m going to try to sell action for the event tomorrow because the structure is pretty solid actually. 30k chips/75min levels for the first day and speeds up on the other days. But I think my edge is too big not to pass up in this spot. We’ll see. Off to play cash games now for the rest of the day so hopefully next time I post I bring some positivity to my blog :)
