In LA for the LAPC
Hey everyone,
After a long day of traveling from Boston I finally arrived in LA around 2pm yesterday. I checked in at the Commerce and will be here just over a week. It should be a great series of events to come with Matt Savage running the show here it always seems to be a good showing with him from my limited experience on the live scene. I spent most of the day playing 5/10NL here which is a $1500 cap buyin and ended up +1500 or so on the night without too many big hands to talk about. I felt pretty strong at the table all night and look forward to building on that for the rest of the week while i’m here. Today I’ll be playing the 300$ 200k guar today here so hopefully that gets off to a good start as well. It’s also nice to meet more players each trip, especially ones you respect. After a long day of playng I met Amit Makhija (Amak from Doyle’s room) and DFISH who both have accomplished a lot in the poker world so far. They seemed very nice, I was just too exauhsted after my long day to be very social, thats ok though. I’m very focused for this series and feel that with a lot of hard work here I can make a few runs in my limited time here. The cash games should be great the rest of the week and I will be keeping a daily blog to track this trip to start my 2010 year.
Glenn
