The blessing of bonuses

All poker sites use some sort of bonus system to “trick” their customers into playing as many hands as possible. The irony is: that is excactly what I need! Clearing bonuses is a very good type of goal in my situation, I think. Unlike winnings it’s something I can control. There is also an automatic reward connected to it. According to all “life-guides” I’ve read that’s an important part of setting goals.

I am trying to clear a 3k bonus at Party. According to my calculations that will take about 20 workdays (5h each). That feels like a very reasonable goal. It stretches over the perfect amount of time too.

Anyway now it’s time to start cooking for my badminton mates. I’m makig burgers (again lol)!

Sounds like you are slowly getting your life under control. Have you read "Happier" by Tal Ben-Shahar? I found it a little prosaic, but overall I think that the advice is pretty useful and balanced.

@KasinoKrime: Badminton is awesome. But I'm pure amateur though :(. I do use some poker concepts, like mixing it up and looking for weaknesses to exploit. I def have an edge agaisnt one of my friends because of hit. He's a lot more fit than me, but he's not a DC member.

@sirspider: Had no clue that word existed, but I do now :). In Sweden we just say badminton balls. Maybe a combination of those could be funny in some way ;)?

@jjd323: Yeah I feel much better now. May be that spring has something to do with it. Light and the fact that I'm able to (and have done) jog outside is probably very important for me. I haven't read that book. I check it out, but I ordered 3 books from the shortcomings thread I haven't read yet. So we'll see.

Badminton has to be THE most underestimated sport there ever was!

It used to be curling, but since the Olympics everyone knows how much stamina THAT game takes.

Best workout I ever had. But no reflexes for it.
