The making of a Poker Pro

alright so this weekend my wife and I had some comp nights to use up at the Beau Rivage casino here in Biloxi. We also had free tickets to a headliner so we went and saw Taylor Hicks. It was a good show, he has a real bluesy sound and put on a really good show. I also had my first coaching session with Tubasteve and that went really well. Out of my 45 minute video I made for him to evaluate we got through maybe the first 10- 15 minutes of it. A lot of situations and play that I thought was standard was quickly analysed in a way i had never thought of. Definitely gave me a lot to think about in future hands. Overall I was very happy and look forward to seeing where my game goes from here.

After the lesson and a quick online session I managed to get a seat at a live 1/2NL table in the poker room. I played well and made some good check raise semi bluffs and was able to leave up $180 after a couple hours. Overall it was a good weekend. Well getting back to the grind this week after classes and working on the few things that Steve had suggested. I am going to finish out the month by just playing and seeing where things are headed. I plan to be playing at 50NL by the end of next month so that should be good. Good luck to everyone and keep an eye out for the next post.
