Hello DC!
This is my first blog (actually the first thing I’ve said at all) on DC, so I just wanted to say hello and introduce myself. I won’t repeat stuff I said in my bio except that my name is Doug, I’m 22 and I’m about to graduate from the Pennsylvania State University. Graduate. Really? Ugh.
Anyway, I’ve played basically all sorts of SNGs for the past three years and now am starting to mix in a bunch of MTTs. I also aim to eventually become competent at cash, and I’m sure I can learn a lot from all you cash experts! Mainly though, I’m really excited to become a part of this awesome DC community. I’ve seen this site grow over the past couple years and love how the members/management have handled its progress. It is clear there are many more great things to come. The people affiliated with DC who I’ve talked to all seem like genuine, smart, and friendly people. The thing I really love so far about this site is how it’s one big learning resource for everyone involved. The attitude of the forums/blogs is positive and instructive – a far cry from lots of other training sites and forums.
My goal is to contribute what I’ve learned over the last few years in SNG/tournament play while adding to the overall value of DC as a whole. I will be active in the forums and will pitch in wherever I can. Being that I have a ton of learning to do myself though, I’ll also be asking for advice from better players, getting involved in cash game discussion, etc.
To Krantz, Joe Tall, and everyone else at DC, thanks for having me, and I hope I can play a positive role here!
