Poker isn't always fun for everyone.
Green Line = Winnings
Red Line = Expected Winnings
I've really been enjoying me New Routine and have been sticking to it, averaging over 100 games a day. I'm doing very well in the games so far, I'm happy to say I think I'm still improving a lot as time goes on and I've been working on a few parts of my game.

I'm still doing an awful job at controlling my emotions during really stressful sessions but I'm trying to get better at that.
Like I said in my last blog I'm going to start doing a video blog series, I've already got an idea for the first video where I'm going to help viewers with some of the how-to maths behind poker.
Catch you guys later.
Last night I was kinda down and then I got upset at myself for getting down. It's really easy to blame Black Friday / FTP shutdown on my problems, but I need to stop being such a whiney bitch. Those were big setbacks but ultimately I'm good enough to do fine even in the current climate and I need to stop looking for excuses to feel bad and not play.
I decided the key to be being happy, at the moment, is really simple:
- Play poker for at least 5hours a day, 5-6 days a wek
- Go to the gym 3x a week (i actually enjoy this, but stopped because I was feeling down)
- Enjoy myself on my off time. This includes going out but also staying in and learning new things. I've been doing online college courses on Mathematics(Probabilities) and the Yale Psychology course and I'm really enjoying it.
I've been trying to psych myself up to play like 12hrs a day 7 days a week in an effort to quickly robusto and then have been feeling really down because I fail to do it - I think it has the reverse effect of making me not even play at all some days because I feel so shitty about it all.
Today I woke up (late), went grocery shopping, ate some food and played my first session (2.2hrs). Now I'm going to cook some steak/pasta and then play another 3-4hrs. I think I could get used to this.
I am planning on switching my blog to more of a video-blog and just doing weekly youtube vids (posting them here) and focus it a bit more on sharing cool hands i've played, and just helpful tips for poker players, and adding in my personal shit as well.
I'm also planning out a *real* DC video series soon. So the the video blogs should help me get ready for that.
GL everyone.
Is up on DC now!

Let me know what you think. I'd really appreciate some feedback on how to improve.
So far I think I should; narrate the actions less, less "um, uhh". What else?
Feel free to comment here or on the video page itself. Thanks.
Hey DC!
It's 7am and I just felt like doing a quick blog update before going to bed.
I'm back to grinding 6m, I spent a few months playing HU and really improving my game but for now I need to focus more on making money so I'll stick to what I'm best at. I enjoyed playing HU and I think I was starting to play well but I ran like 150 buyins under EV and I'd rather just grind a game I have a lot more confidence in for the time being.
Last few days I haven't put in a ton of volume because I was focusing on studying to get rid of the rust from my game but I think I'm back to speed so I should be putting in solid volume from now on. I'm not going to disclose my SN or what site I'm playing on just yet because I'm enjoying the anonymity in the games at the moment.
I'm considering a move to Europe around January 2012. I can get citizenship pretty easily. It would be nice to have better options for poker sites to play on. The move and time of the move will depend heavily on events out of my hands over the next few months, mainly the FTP situation and also regulation in the USA as there is some gossip about something passing in the next few months that would allow it.
I'm trying to stay back in the gym. I've been back 3 times since I decided to start again last week.
I'm thinking about doing some scheduled blogging, like once a week or something. Maybe even video blogging. I feel like it will help me keep on track with my goals a bit more.
OK I'm going to watch some TV and try to pass out. holla!
yesterday I made my first DC video (if you don't count the one with Bones that never got out). hopefully it will be posted soon. it's going to be a DC-Short, just over 20 mins.
to be honest i was pretty nervous making the video, I kept worrying that I'd screw something up and have to re-take the whole thing, but i think it came out okay. it was definitely a learning experience and i already see a lot of ways i can improve for the next one which i should be working on in the next few days.
when it's posted please do your best to give me helpful tips on how to make better videos. i take my role and my future here at DC seriously and I'd like to give you guys the best content I can.
