Week one Roundup: Back on track
It has been a week since I started my blog so I figured it was time for a little roundup.
I’m going to try to do this every week from now on to keep things interesting for the people who read my posts and to keep some structure in my blogposts.
The Grind
In my first post I talked about the fact that I wanted to get some more BI’s before taking shots at 100 again, however I got more rakeback than I expected because of the € and £ tables that I played. So I decided to play some €50nl instead, which comes down to playing something 74nl.
I got in some 2500 hands using good table selection and it worked out pretty well. I’m up about 5bi if I include the RB and I’m feeling confident about my game. If I can keep running at 14 bb /100 for the rest of the month I would be a happy camper ;)
Video
I’ve been wanting to upload a video since Monday but I can’t get the member video upload page to work for me. So until I can get this sorted out I think I am going to use the least spammy free service there is to get some vids online. I already recorded 2 and I found them to be pretty interesting.
The Study
I have not watched a DC video yet this week since I wanted to check out real life no limit pro grinder episode with Wot and whiteheatsyd but since I could not download large files anymore (I am only allowed to download 25 GB a month with my current Internet connection, more on that later) I’m gonna watch it tonight.
Deucescracked
In this section I would like to post some links to the topics on DC that I liked the most over the last week.
Healthy Snacks My girlfriend has amazing knowledge about what to eat and what not to eat but this still is a very interesting thread.
Some pieces of the puzzle Improva keeps amazing DC grinders with great content and replies.
Tecmosuperbowl and random acts of kindness Who says that all poker players are the 2+2 tl;dr type?
Linux- Someone unknown came in and posted a great reply in my switching to linux thread but then unfortunately got offended by something another member said
Life
Been partying pretty hard lately and have not been able to do sports due to a foot injury and it’s starting to show. I’m not fat but I have lost some shape and I would like to start paying more attention to what I eat again and do at least 100 push-ups a day to get my arms, shoulders and chest a little more defined again.
I have worked pretty hard for my courses at the university for the first 2 months of the academic year but since I finished several tasks and a nice exam-schedule I have some more time to grind the next 2 weeks.
I finally switched Internet provider and will have unlimited traffic (instead of 25GB) for 60% of what I pay now. To cut a long story short, fixed landlines and Internet communication in my counrty (Belgium) is dominated by 2 companies which gives them the opportunity to keep asking very high prices for telecom, but some competitors have risen and I have now finaly switched ISPs so I’m happy :)
That’s it for week 1. All comments are appreciated :)
