March 2011 Review
After a huge month in February, March started out disappointingly. Moving up to 30/60 TD was met with a lot of swings, including a quick 10k drop early on, and then a recovery back to break even within a day. I then proceeded to be break even for a couple weeks, until I decided to move back to PLO 6-max. Since then I started upswinging pretty well and ended the month about $12k up (+$2k in fpps).
So although I didn't have the huge month I was expecting, it was still a good month. I feel like my game is improving loads on even a daily basis, and also my confidence. Before, I never used to want to play poker but wanted to make money, but now suddenly I feel like playing much more often, and not for the money but just for the sense of being good at a game and winning with money as a bonus.
I want to stress again how important it is to study this game off the table, constantly improving your game. It's shocking the amount of people out there grinding away at small winrates when all they need to do is spend time reassessing their own game. If you have a very good understanding of the game, it then becomes much easier not to tilt. A lot of my tilt in the past used to stem from situations where I was confused, and frustrated because I was confused, and then suddenly getting paranoid about making the wrong play, or start letting my emotions dictate what I do in a particular spot with a few hundred dollars stack. If you improve your understanding, you can be confident in your plays and you end up playing a much less swingy and more profitable game.
My plan for April is merely to keep doing what I'm doing and hopefully continue my life-long upswing.

Any more TD vids in the pipes? Loved the first couple.

I was supposed to do one for Minor League but I still haven't got around to starting it. I wasn't sure whether to do a live play, a power point presentation, or video review of someone else. It might be a mixture of the first two.

$1/$2 6-max mostly, with a lot of deep antes involved.

Power point imo.

Yeah I'm thinking that also. A purely live play vid will be restricted to the spots that come up in a sense, but I can talk about TD more generally if I choose the topics.

An 'Aha' for me. Thanks for sharing.
