Heater
I'm on a massive heater this month. It's one of those months where I have about 2 or 3 losing days which are all <$400 and then a ton of decent winning days in the $1k region. Today's $2500 profit brings me up to about $8k for the month so far, which breaks down into about $3k from 100PLO and $5k from games that HEM doesn't track (mostly the 5/10-10/20 TD games on FTP.)
The most important thing at the moment is too avoid complacency, or winners' tilt. Very often when I run well and good results, I start to expect it no matter what I do, which is stupid because a lot of it can be attributed to playing solidly. I sometimes open up my game, doing more and more marginal things until they are probably losing and then when the heater ends, the damages become huge due to the deterioration of both my game and mindset. Tilt always starts at your last upswing.
Not this time though. I'm going to concentrate on playing great. To accomplish this, I'm going to keep posting in the forums and constantly analyse and evaluate myself as often as possible. The next time I start running bad and feel tilt coming on, I'm going to limit the damage and quit before it affects me too much. I also recorded a video where I play 2 tables of HU PLO with commentary, which I'll be uploading soon.Â
