I'm Amazed...brotha
So I just set up my new monitor, I got an ASUS VW266H. It's the first 1920/1200 I've ever had. First I was like, this doesn't look right. Something must be wrong. But then I realized everything is just way more crisp and clear than anything I've ever seen before and my eyes and brain were just confused.
I'm also amazed that I'm still a winning player according to my database; even after going on monkey tilt and busting my entire online roll a couple months ago. Just started playing again and after a couple weeks of playing, not to mention a couple coaching sessions with John, KasinoKrime, I'm still winning over my last 50K hand sample at 100PLO and over. All-be-it just about 4bbs/100 I really went on a monkey-tilt bender going so far as to play shallow $5/$10 with my last 1k online. It was so bad I haven't been able to even look at HEM for over a month. Â
Now that I'm back on the grind and things are going okay I'm happy to see that I think I really can beat these small stakes games as long as I can keep my composure. Something I'm confident I can do as long as I don't do certain things, like play too many tables, make stupid mistakes, lose perspective and get emotionally attached/involved at the tables. These things are often intertwined and are purposefully vague. So far so good.
Also really amazed that this is my last official weekend at work. Next week is my last and then it's a month of packing and preparing to move followed by a month of traveling followed by adjusting to a new life in Portland and a big push to finish grad school.
Looking forward to playing and studying a ton of poker during this time, somehow.Â
Also, LOST! Let's check out these new blog tools Rob announced....sweet!

I haven't been a huge "Lostie" as they sometimes refer to themselves,
but I have watched every season and ever since the end of last season
I've been pretty strongly interested in what will happen in the show.Â
Happy to say I only listened to my first Lost podcast today, and it will
also be my last, I hope. They talked some about the end, like very
last scene/image and how it's been determined since season one and how
everything has been leading up to it. Speculation ranges from
Locke/Jack on beach ala Jacob/MIB when another Plane crashes, to Jack
closing his eyes, to Jack opening his eyes and waking up
somewhere/sometime else. Whatever epic end there is lots of people are
going to be disappointed, that, I think, is inevitable. I think when
the story line is over and everyone left alive is standing around
exhausted and emotional and quiet, we should just hear a fart noise and
everyone turns and looks at Hurley looking sheepish and embarrassed then the
LOST screen comes on.
Oh and one more thing. Fringe! One of my other current shows. I think it really came into its own with this epic season.
Favorite new show...Justified. Simple. Timothy Olyphant carrying gun and wearing a big hat, get some!
