Poker free week

its kind of funny that i start my poker blog with an entry about taking a break from playing – but it fits perfectly. The reasons that i take this break comes from a desire to change my relationship with the game. First and foremost this break is on the tail end of me working my bankroll from $100 to $800 and back down to zip. Id love to say that i was grinding my way up but i wasn’t. I took risks playing larger stakes that i couldn’t afford, gambling in questionable spots, playing too long or when i wasn’t interested/tilting and deffinitely a mix of all of the above. I reloaded for $200 ($100 in doyles rooms, $100 in FTP) and am at about 30% of that after only a few days so i decided to take this break on the 3rd till the 10th. i wanted to change how i was approaching the game. i love playing but i needed to prove that it wasnt a problem for me to drop it for a week, that it wasnt a gambling addiciton on the rise. Good first move i thought. The second reason that i took this break was so that i could sort my life out. I have more things going on in my life than im used to and things feel a little hectic and out of control. i need to organise myself so that when im playin poker im focused on poker. so as for how im approaching poker in the next few days; im studying the theory and videos and of course ill start getting ctive in the forums.
