10NL slapped me down

Took a shot at 10NL this week and got slammed back.

Nothing in it that worried me too much just a lot of cold boards a few coolers and some missed draws where I was the agressor.

The only difference I noticed really was that it was harder to find a good table. I’ve been playing 17/15 ABC lately, and I’ve been wondering how far I could go with that style.

I posted a hand where I had C-bet a two tone flop and picked up a straight draw versus a loose passive fish who had called my cbet and checked the turn. I put villain on a flush draw, and Lann555 commented that I could have bet the turn for value.

It flicked a light on in my head – a second barrel I was thinking of as a bluff is in fact a thin value bet if villain is chasing a flush and folding his hand if it doesn’t come in on the river.

I kept that in my mind and have since been finding any number of spots where I could exploit this.
