Another donkament. Otherwise not a very productive day

I woke up at about 9am and mowed my lawn.  Then my dad told me he'd buy my brother and I into the local noon $40 tournament.  Hell yeah.  So my bro and I went down there, ate lunch and bought into the tourney.  There was four tables with some alternates.  So like 48ish players.  My dad, bro and I were all at different tables.  Second level I pick up KK and just bet the shit out of it.  Some old man called me down the whole way with a flush draw and I doubled up.  Soon afterward my brother tripled up with QQ.  Then his table broke and he was moved to two seats to my right.  My dad was put out of the tourney early on.  My brother got to my table and probably raised the first six or seven hands.  I knew that he must have been on a heater cause he's not that kind of player.  Of course the whole table is getting pissed and calling him a bully, yadda yadda.  He put out about three people.  Then it was my turn.  I get 1010, AA, JJ and get a couple chances to push ATC in the sb.  I end up taking a couple players out too.  My brother and I were chip leaders at our table.  Of course everyone knew who we were, so it was fun crushing the table.  We made it to the final table and five places paid.  I have an OK stack with the blinds at 1000 2000, but the blinds are going up to 2000 4000 very soon, so I have to chip up if I want to make the money.  Two players go out.  By the grace of god I find A10s utg with only 15k with blinds of 2k/4k.  of course I push and a super aggro, crazy old man decided to call me with KQo.  Another guy called too, but he had like J10 or something.  Of course the KQ hit and I was out in 7th place.  If I could have won that hand, I would have had about 40k in chips and bullied my way to the top.  But, it's never that easy.  My brother's stack was big enough from earlier to withstand a couple rounds of blinds.  He ended up taking 3rd in the tourney after basically just waiting for the two big stacks to eliminate everyone.  So that was fun.  I like going into a tourney and knowing I'm leaps and bounds better than everyone.  Sucks when those idiots beat me, but they make me look reeaaaally good.  It's a bit of an ego boost for me.

After that I came home and picked my garden, which I have to do everyday.  Then I played two sets of tourneys online.  They went well, but the amount of games is to small to even worry about results.

Then I went over to my parents house with my brother and his wife.  We ate dinner and played some games.  On the way home there was thunder and lightning.  Some of the worst I've ever seen here.  It was literally striking over my car and freaking out my radio.  It felt like it was striking on me.  The flashes were so bright that it would blind me for a millisecond.  I could feel the static in the air.  It was super freaky.  I took a video while I drove home.  It's just one strike, but it's kinda cool.  At the moment it is right over my house, but the rain just kicked up so I think it's finally moving on.

Not sure what is planned for tomorrow.  My dad mentioned that he might want to go golfing or up to Mt. Rainier again.  We'll see.  I might be done with poker this month.  I met my volume goal, so a couple days off won't hurt.  But if there are no plans, I'll play a full day tomorrow.

See ya
