Just doing the poker thing

Stayed up till like 2am last night watching the 25K NL Holdem 6-max on ESPN3 last night.  Only because Negreanu was at the final table.  He at least made it somewhat entertaining. I woke up at about 10:00 this morning.

Went over to my parents house to give them back their lawn mower and to mow their lawn.  They are vacationing in Laughlin, NV now and I'm going to pick them up at the airport tomorrow at 4:30pm.  I got back home at about 3:00 and turned the radio on and listened to the Mariners and played poker till about 9:30.  I think I must have taken a break in there somewhere or tables took a long time to load cause I only played seven sets in six hours.  I started playing so late today that I didn't play my last two sets.  I'm not one for playing nine sets straight.  Four is long for me, five is about my max.

Today was full of shitty spots and players having hands.  Also a few regs were calling me ridiculously wide and it's amazing how quickly people spite call.  A lot of players get very upset when their ego is challenged in the very slightest.  Speaking of lack of self control.  There was this Dutch player that was totally going off on Americans and how we are so arrogant...blah blah blah. Of course it was cause of a bad beat and no one was being mean to him at all.  I calmly told him that we aren't the one spouting BS about a bad beat.  Then he proceeded to call me a #$@% yank and said he was glad planes flew into the World Trade Center. He said that the US deserved it.  Yeah it wasn't cool, but I mean my god.  What a ass.  I wanted to report him, but he was such a bad player that I didn't want to discourage him from playing.

Well I played 84 games today and made about 4.25 buy-ins.  I am pleased with that because I was running awful. I almost lost every game on my last set, but in the final three games I manged to pull out two firsts and a second.  That helped a bunch.  I wasn't so fortunate in the set before.  So I'm glad to actually profit and not fall deeper in the hole.

Also, there is a tourney on Full Tilt that is for the STT Forum on 2p2.  It's $10 + 1.  It's on Tuesday at 6pm Pacific Time.  There is a thread that shows all you need to know.  I guess I could find the link for you guys..... http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/36/stt-strategy/ot-sttf-mtt-ftp-test-transfer-skills-muahaha-815116/index5.html ....I dont think the link button is working.  So, anyways, it could be fun.

Crap I had an idea that was better than this for the tip of day, but I guess I forgot to write it down.  Oh well, I'll probably think of it later.  Tip pf the day:  Chatting.  More specifically, berating players.  I used to be out of control when it came to berating players, but I am getting a lot better with it.  I feel that I must say something in the chat sometimes.  It's usually when a reg calls me too light or sucks out with a dumb hand.  I just say type something like "good call" and leave it at that.  If I start calling them and idiot/moron, I just make myself look bad and more importantly fuel my tilt.  Yeah good players will know you are being sarcastic, but at least you aren't being mean.  So that's just a little something that has helped me over the past couple weeks.

I think that's one good step to not berate players any more. You can use the time chatting more effectively. Also it's probably better moneywise, you'll want fish to feel warm and comfortable while playing and you don't want to start spite calling feuds with regs that are just annoyed to your behaviour.
