First full poker day of the month
Played 109 games yesterday. Played three sets at a time. Seems to work ok. I started playing at about 9am PT. Probably too early to be playing. Almost pure regs. They aren't that good, but still. It all comes down to if your hands hold up. Which isn't a good way to play SNG's because the best hand holds up only so often till you are out. If your AA beats QQ you are running good. If your K8 holds up to the 10 7o that just pushed from the small blind, you are running very good. So basically playing a table full of bad regs sucks. Not sure what I'm going to do about that. I might just go back to playing purely in primetime (11am - 11pm PT) It just works for me soooo much better to play early. I wake up at about 7am now. I'd like to just get most of my poker out of the way early and be able to do what I want in the evening. I'll test it out for a few more days.
I lost about 5.5 buy-ins yesterday. Ran terrible, but in poker you always run bad. It's just how you deal with the runbad in which is the factor in winning overall.Â
This morning I'm 36 games in already. Feels good, although I'm break even at best. Tables were full of regs and I ran horrible.
I have golf on the schedule for this afternoon. Hopefully the weather holds. A bit windy and there's a dark cloud moving in. I've been looking forward to today for a week and nothing is going to stop me. It's my brother that I have to worry about. He might not want to go if he thinks the weather is too bad. That would suck, and I'm not going to go by myself.
In other news, I had another counseling session last night. It went well. Regained my confidence on some things. I'm going to stop looking at her Facebook and Myspace pages. Probably going to delete her number off my phone. There is no point in me dwelling over her and hurting myself everyday. I deleted some pictures of her today off of my phone. Kinda sad. Sucks deleting your memories. It'll be best in the long run.
