Another nice night at the tables
Woke up at about 10 this morning. Ate some cereal, watered my garden and looked over my hands from yesterday. There were only a few. I played one set of games at like 11:15am. Then Courtney woke up at like noonish and we watched Survivor and The Office. Both great episodes.
I was just about ready to fire up another set, but the fiance decided she was hungry. I made Mac n Cheese. It was good. Didn’t really feel all that good stuffing myself with processed noodles and cheese. Then I was going to play poker and one of my favorite episodes of Law and Order came on the TV. I had to watch that.
I took Courtney to work and got back at 4 o clock. Decided to be lazy and didn’t get to playing poker till about 5:30. I hate when I am lazy, but when I am in that funk, it is super hard to get out of it. I played poker till a little after 10pm. I didn’t play the last set because I was doing so good that I didn’t want to fuck it up like I did last week. Last week I had a great day at poker and the last set totally ruined my whole day because I lost about every game. I went and picked up Courtney and I was complaining about poker and bitching about how my last set is always shitty and it ruins the whole day. She gave me a good piece of advice. She said, “Well, don’t play that last set†Simple, but so true. So I decided to go out on a good note tonight.
I played 72 games and won a little over 17 buy ins. It honestly felt like I won even more than that. I was doing very well tonight. I am seriously playing the best poker of my life right now. I know that I am on a bit of a heater now, but I don’t see myself doing much worse than this. I have a feeling that this is going to be a very good month. (Knock on wood)
Mariners got humiliated AGAIN today. By the seven game losing streak Angels. They lost 8 – 0 and Jeff Weaver pitched a two hit game. It was over when Felix Hernandez walked the lead off batter in the 1st inning. Felix in his last two outings hasn’t lasted out of the 4th inning. His ERA must be somewhere over 10 over the last two games. It’s despicable. Not to mention the Mariners couldn’t hit a beach ball right now. The funny thing is that the M’s are only about 3 or 4 games outta first. They have lost seven straight now. That just shows how terrible the AL West is.
