Clueless on a title..

Day started off with me being lazy as usual. Took me till 11:00am to get to the gym. Started playing poker at noon. Played three sets. They went pretty bad. I ran bad, but I don’t think I played very well. I think I played as well as I could have, but that’s not very good at the moment. Tomorrow I am gunna go through a bunch of tournaments and see what I can find. I’m uncertain in a lot of spots again. My skill level is like a circle. I study study study till I feel fairly confident in my game. Then time goes buy and I’ll have a 2 or 3 day break from poker and it seems like I start over again. Weird that just a few days break can totally erase my memory.

At about 3pm I played two more sets and those went well. I made some money back from yesterday’s loss. I think I made about 10 buy-ins back. I still don’t feel that I played perfect though. On my last set I had a bunch of tables low handed at the same time. I felt like I was making very fast decisions and I might have not made the best ones every time. Usually I go look back and it’s not that bad, but I need to regain my confidence in my game. If I have confidence, I really don’t care if I lose because I know it will turn around. I like playing like that, a lot less stressful.

Not really into this blog tonight, because I have TV shows to watch as usual. Watched Survivor tonight. Wow, what a season. I’ve seen every season since the beginning and the last two have probably been the best so far. Well, it kinda depends how this one ends, but its shaping up to be one of the best.

Hopefully I can get some good study time in tomorrow morning and come out strong at the tables. I wanta get outta these $6.50s as soon as possible. I feel more comfortable at the $12s it seems.

I think my skill level is a circle as well. When I concentrate on fixing a leak or leaks, I find out that I will reopen old leaks or see some new ones. I have thought a few times that now I'm good, but when I look my older hand histories, I seem to always see more mistakes there.

Downswings are a mixed blessing. On the other hand, it's hard to get volume in, but it's very easy to study and develop your game. At least I have worked on my game more on downswings than upswings.
