One of my better days...

Started out the day with calling my doctor and checking in with him about my blood pressure situation. I’ll make a 6 year story short. I have high blood pressure. I’m 24 years old, yeah I know I’m young and it sucks, but looks like I’ll be living with it for awhile. I’m on two pills that I gotta take twice a day. My blood pressure now is 136/89. Yeah I know thats really high to some people, but that is good for me. Especially for the fact I am only taking half the dosage that I use to take. Hopefully my exercising almost every day and healthy eating is starting to pay off. Anyways my doctor seemed happy about it and that’s a good thing.

At about 10:30 I went and mowed my parents lawn. It was a great day outside. About 67 degrees and sunshine all the way. After that I went to Verizon to get my phone software updated. The reason I did it is because my cell has been turning off randomly. I got that done, and walked outta the store and my phone shut off. So I gotta call some number tomorrow to get a new phone.

I finally got to playing poker at about 3:30. I played three sessions and they went fairly well. Ran really bad in a lot of spots but still managed to make money. I often wonder how well I would do if some of my hands would hold up. Oh hears one of those spots I often talk about:

Full Tilt Poker $11 + $1 No Limit Hold’em Tournament – t100/t200 Blinds – 3 players
The Official DeucesCracked.com Hand History Converter

Hero (BB): t4350 M = 14.50
BTN: t3390 M = 11.30
SB: t5760 M = 19.20

Pre Flop: (t300) Hero is BB with K Club K Spade
1 fold, SB raises to t5760 all in, Hero calls t4150 all in

Flop: (t8700) J Diamond 8 Diamond 3 Spade

Turn: (t8700) J Spade

River: (t8700) Q Club

Final Pot: t8700
Hero shows K Club K Spade (two pair, Kings and Jacks)
SB shows 8 Spade 8 Club (a full house, Eights full of Jacks)
SB wins t8700

Most common thing in the world for me. Happens several times a day.

After the three sessions I made dinner for Courtney and I. She wanted spaghetti, so that’s what I made. Whole grain noddles with no salt added tomato paste meat sauce. Turkey as the meat of course. The miracle meat I call it. I don’t even eat hamburger any more. We watched last night’s American Idol because it didn’t download in time yesterday.

Then I got back to poker and played my final two sessions. They were totally reg filled, but I didn’t mind. Playing with a few regs definitely has its downfalls, but the upside to it is that you know exactly how they play. So you can open up your calling range so much in some cases where you would be forced to fold if a random pushed into you. It’s also nice to play with the bad regs that push way too wide for the situation and you can just sit back and watch them push their KJ utg on the bubble and the fish at the table call him with A2.

I made about 13 buy-ins tonight, it feels nice to win after a two pretty dreadful days.

Well Survivor is the show for tonight. So I’ll talk to you guys tomorrow.
