2nl I feel you could easily play a super tight premium and set mining only game and probably crush. Pretty much most of the players there are 1 level thinking (they just look at what hand they have). So it doesnt matter if you are the tightest player in earth they will still pay you off with TPNK when you have the nuts.
I'm not saying its the best way to play. there are lots of guys playing that style as well, to beat them you can just play much much looser.
EG you are in co with ATC, btn, sb and BB are all 7/4 type players you can open anything. even people are playing loser like 11/8 type stats are in blinds i'd still open all hands on the btn.
Stealing in the SB with any 2 cards Vs the BB when he is folding 80%+ Vs a steal. This applies to 5nl as well.
At 5NL Cbetting seems to be pretty effective Vs the straight forward TAGS.
EG you open MP with small pocket pair. flop comes 6K9ss. I will almost only ever get called by a K or sometimes TT-QQ.
What i mean is they are not floating you or bluff raising you.
There is not much difference between the levels, maybe at 5nl the regs are a bit more clued up and won't call you down as light.
Pretty much no one plays back at me so I can get away with doing a lot of things and never get punished.
Just remember that if you do start to steal any 2 vs these guys DONT GO CRAZY POSTFLOP. Only cbet a board if you KNOW it is +EV. If you have even a slight doubt then jut check and fold to a bet.
Reason for this is if you make a mistake post flop your over all play is now -EV and it will take many more successful steals to make up for this.
hope that makes sense.,
yeah rich this is exactly what I did with rush this month, games are dead in day times for us and this is a great way to keep the momentum going and playing during the day. Instead of FR im playing RUSH but its the same idea, really enjoying it, and interesting. I would try an even more aggressive BR strat and say 10bi, but 15 is ok too. I started with $5 on ftp earlier this month now I have $780 and am playing 25nl and 50nl mixed - just keep on taking aggressive shots
yeah i heard you do this then thought it was a great idea for fun.
I mean i could just deposit some money and play 50nl or something but i wanted to make something out of nothing it feels more sweet.
