Summer challenge - Sixth post
Hey guys!
I decided to make a challenge for my self for this summer. I've been playing poker on and off for almost two years now and always I've quitted poker for the same reason - lack of motivation because of downswings. It has ended up with me burning out and not wanting to play poker for two months. I don't want that to happen again.
Okay so a little bit about the challenge. The challenge will last
from today to September 30th that's some amount of days. And in that time
frame I want to have played 100k hands.
I know that's pretty basic for many of you guys but for me it's not
that easy and I don't want to make it too hard for myself.
I will be starting from 20NL with a bankroll 700$ bankroll taking
shots to 30NL when I feel like it. Using a pretty nitty BR
management taking a shot whenever I have at least 30bi for the next
limit. I will be playing mostly 4 tables max amount I'm allowed to play
is 4 tables (duh). For now I will be playing on ongame and I'm not thinking about
switching sites because Stars RB just sucks.
Some goals/rules:
- Play at least 3 hours a day
- Play 45 minute long sessions, take 20-30 minute break between each of them
- Study at least 1 hour each day
Those are mostly long term goals but I don't really have any good short term goals in my mind right now but I'll be adding them to this blog when they pop into my mind.
If any of you have similar goals or are looking for a study partner please send me a PM and we can talk more. And if you have any tips on how to avoid burning out and how to keep yourself motivated post them into the comments. Thanks for reading!
