In other news, after playing 5k hands in about 3 days at the start of the month, which is a lot for me, I’ve played about 200 hands since, due to a combination of crap tables, lack of time and scheduled maintenance last night.

I’m still losing a lot of medium size pots, which is being largely offset by winning a lot of very small spots (I’m stealing more, which is nice I guess) and going basically 50/50 in 100bb pots, so probably still break even over this first 5k at 25NL. I think I’m just a few sessions away from breaking out, but when you move up and its accompanied by a bit of a nothing spell in terms of winning/losing it can be a bit of a confidence buster.

My nose is blocked (its been freezing lately) and I can’t breathe through my nose, which is annoying in and of itself but blows for yoga and BJJ, because I gas up much faster in both and my yoga teacher yells at me more. which is kinda funny watching her yell because shes so zen most of the time and she just gets frustrated with me.

looks like the missus will be busy with work for the next couple of weeks so I should be able to get in some good time at the tables, hopefully get on that heater and start building my roll.

UFC 100 looks interesting, I’m generally not the one to be watching this sort of thing but I’d like to watch GSP because he’s a brute. Also, I still suck at ground game on the xbox, so tilting!!!

I’m useless at playing JJ/QQ/TT. I still can’t play draws. I’m too nitty. I don’t 3 bet enough. I steal the bejesus out of blinds though. hah.

2+2 SSNL graphs thread tilts me again. I definitely want to post in that thread eventually. Also reading some of the posts there, I know some people are playing those stakes that give terrible advice, so either they are doing it on purpose or they have big leaks?

Watched professor plotkin first episode last night, the 4 bet thing blew my mind, I’m such a weak tighter. I folded TT to an obvious squeeze in position last night because I didn’t want to get it in versus just an overpair. 4 people to flop, T62 rainbow and I want to kill myself, lol.

Starting to plan for my walkabout, have yet to tell significant other about it, will mostly likely result in fight.
