Assorted Entertaining Hands
So, I’m going to use this post to highlight some fun hands I’ve played over the past week. Hopefully you guys like reading them. If anyone has any comments or criticisms about the way I played any particular hand, I’d love to hear those too.

A PLO hand where I was totally lost. What do I do on the turn here? Is c/r the river an option? Villain is super suspicious but also passive. I don’t think he’s folding a straight and he might not even find a fold with something as weak as a set:

Just so we can clear things up, though, I do usually run good. Here is a o8 hand from 7game. I suspect I missed some really easy value on the flop here. As JoeTall would say, my hand is a BEAST. I really need to reconcile my hold em flop/turn lines with O8. Might make for an interesting blog post in and of itself:

The 15/30 hand is hot

As for the PLO hand, I don't think that is a great hand to be 3betting OOP 250BB deep. Flopping a set of 2's is like an RIO nightmare this deep.
I think that the highest overall EV play there is to just bet out with the nut flush and bet big. You want him to think you are bluffing and so we sort of want to put him to the test. This deep it is a pretty reasonable spot for him to check behind with a straight or most of his made hands that he has on the turn because getting check raised on this river is puke inducing. Against his specific hand he probably would've called a c/r but honestly it would be sooooo sick for you to river c/r with just the A of clubs blocker HU and based on how you played the hand I am guessing that generally isn't in your play book (no offense).
Overall though with the naked NFD and no pair I think the turn is a fold. You have to assume he has a made hand better than what we have here and unless you suspect he will pay you off here a lot when your flush comes it seems like you are going to be bleeding money in this sort of spot.

He limped and i raised. I dunno if you saw that.

Unless he is very weak and gives up on pots *very* easily, so much so that you can iso/steal on the flop "enough" to profit with ATC, I really hate choosing this hand to raise with. At best you could describe it as a two-card hand looking to make a flush. You simply don't need to ever play a hand with 22 in it "for balance" because you can never make top set. I don't personally understand why anyone plays any hand 66 and lower as top set isn't even the nuts when you flop it, and 77 and 88 are pretty damn marginal unless they come along with a second pair.

It looks like he made it 2.25x and you repot? It isn't that important though. jj323 said good things.
