BigBadBabar in the house

Hey everyone what’s up, it’s BBB guest posting on OTR’s blog. Recently I had the great pleasure of spending several days in the Residence of the fifteenth member of the rail and good times were had. I drove several hours to attend the PATRICK SWAYZE MEMORIAL PARTY which was unsurprisingly an 80s-themed party even though I never made the real connection til I got there and everyone was wearing 80s clothing. Luckily OTR bailed me out by making me wear one of his purple shirts (all his clothes are pastel colors, btw). Drinking games were played and Dirty Dancing was watched on the television. Passive voice was also used. OTR and his gf had put together an Exhaustive 80s playlist which was full of songs that I could tolerate, which is saying a lot since I am generally not an 80s music fan whatsoever. Whenever Rick Astley’s “Never Gonna Give You Up” came on, OTR and I jumped around like crazy madmen and attracted looks of general lol and wat. I think the best drinking game was drinking whenever the cat ran through. Obviously the cat was relatively spooked at a loud party of 20 guests so obviously everyone got soused relatively quickly. Also, my request to change the party’s theme to BERNIE MAC MEMORIAL PARTY was met with general confusion.

After the party cleared out I stayed a few extra days for the ambiance and good times. Main activities included playing poker and playing Mario kart wii. As it’s impossible for anyone else to run well in OTR’s den of iniquity and get-there-ness, I got tired of running poorly pretty quickly each session and so then we would play wii for a while. For the first two days OTR was alternately flabbergasted and belligerent that I would wave my arms up in the air after going over a jump in Mario kart so as to receive the lil speed bonus that you get for doing a trick. He insisted that this was all some hokey shenanigan and that my repeated first place finishes and his repeated duels with baby peach for 9th place were just a coincidence. On the third day he did it by accident and then almost got around to saying he was sorry for being a punk. From then on he was my second in command.

I’m now back home missing the good times and all the groceries we bought and consumed and also the whole foods buffet. NOM. I am secure in the knowledge that OTR is once again the best Mario kart player in the apartment. He’s probably already convinced himself that he always was.

Best,
BBB
