If I Knew Now What I Knew Then...
As a HULHE player in today’s poker climate, I often find myself saying these exact words. It’s so frustrating to look back and understand how little the average high stakes player knew about this game. Of course there were guys who were way ahead of the times, but there are also guys who played very high who I welcome at my table now.
With that said, this post isn’t about that. This post is about screen names.
I made my poker name when I was just getting into online poker. At the time, I thought it would be a, hopefully, ironic and tilting thing for my opponents to see. Today I got to wondering: if I could go back and choose a different handle, would I?
I think I decided that I would, in fact, choose a different name. I feel like “clever†nicknames are often indicative of a good player. I guess if I could go back, I’d choose a name like “Casino Charles†or “JimmyHasTheNutz†or something like that.
What do you guys think? What’s the fishiest nickname that you can think of?

I think I got pretty lucky when I created bosoxx34 when I first started to play.
