Citi Feild Sure is Big
For anyone who doesn’t know, I’m a big Mets fan…
Everyone done laughing? Okay. Well I watch the games on MLB.tv, which I recommend, and I’ve never seen a bigger contrast in ballparks than the one between the Mets’ stadium and the Phillies’.
I just thought it was an interesting difference between the two parks: Citi field putting more of a premium on hitting to the gaps and fly ball pitchers. Citizens Bank Park, on the other hand, values home run hitters and ground ball pitchers. You can see why each team is built the way they are.
Oh, also: The Phillies announcers on Jose Reyes: “He does a lot of things that are annoying, but he’s a really good playerâ€.
We won. That’s all.
