We Stand As The Giants Make Way

Here’s the scenario. Blinds are 25/50 in one of the $11 super stack MTTs on FullTilt. I’m sitting on a 16k stack and I’m rocking the shit, playing pretty loose and flopping sets like it’s my job. I’ve been playing fairly aggressive, but these guys couldn’t tell the difference between coal and gold, so I don’t think it matters all that much. The table is playing like your standard early stage SSMTT table, so everyone is playing super bad.

Villain with a stack around 8500 limps UTG+1, followed by another limp in MP and one in LP. Folds to me in the small blind and I raise to 300. BB folds, and UTG+1 now 3bets my ass to something like 1000. It folds around to me, and I go into the tank. After about 20 seconds of deliberation, I click the fold button. He clearly has AA, KK here imo. I felt so fucking dirty about it, so dirty that I even decided to blog about it. I guess I’m glad he didn’t slowplay pre, because I’m going broke with any overpair during the early stages of these things.
