Detaching from the Expected Value of your Hand
If there is any value to be had from a specific configuration of players and cards, thinking right is the best way to realize it.
Don’t look at your cards or the flop and put a value on it. Focus on making the right decisions given the information available.
I came to this conclusion independently as I’m sure a lot of players do but Tommy wrote about it in 2007 so I guess I’m a bit late to the party :)
